Climb to the highest point in the Cumberland Mountains. This challenging 6.2-mile road race boasts more than a 2,000-foot elevation gain as it climbs from downtown Norton in far Southwest Virginia to the 4,230-foot High Knob summit in the Jefferson National Forest. The sixth annual climb will be held October 5, 2019.

    • Hey Laura, great to hear from you! Your family can definitely meet you at the finish line. The road will be open to traffic. We do try to encourage spectators to leave for the finish line prior to the start of the race to help reduce traffic on the road for runners’ safety. Let us know if you have any other questions.
