Climb to the highest point in the Cumberland Mountains. This challenging 6.2-mile road race boasts more than a 2,000-foot elevation gain as it climbs from downtown Norton in far Southwest Virginia to the 4,200-foot High Knob summit in the Jefferson National Forest.
The 11th annual climb will be held October 5, 2024. This race is also part of the 2024 High Knob Triple Crown running series. See the High Knob Triple Crown website for details.
Registration for the 2023 Hellbender 10K will open Jan. 1, 2024.
